General Building Damage Repairs

If a managed repair service is requested by a customer, HRNL can appoint a local pre-vetted and approved building repair contractor.

Where we require the services of a local building repair contractor, we identify the service required and search for suitable contractors with that skill set within proximity of the property.

Unlike most of our competitors, we don’t just allocate claims based solely on postcode coverage, we look to make sure the contractor to be appointed can provide the type of services required in the local area of the property.

Paid On Time

We pay our contractors faster than any other network, 30 days, which means contractors do not need to go looking for additional ‘add on’ items to help compensate for delayed or late payments from other network providers.

Ownership

HRNL maintain ownership of the managed repair service at a customers home/property. This provides visibility and clarity to Insurers and other nominated suppliers through central claims management platforms.

Local

Our model uses the locally based contractors that most people would use to undertake building repair work in their own home, not a company based 50/60 miles away, who either must spend more unproductive time sat in their van travelling to and from a job or who subcontracts the job out to another company and then adds a markup to the real repair cost.

Higher value/more complex repairs

For larger value or more complex claims, HRNL utilises specialist surveyors and project managers, linked to a dedicated HRNL claimshandler to coordinate all the required claims management actions and take ownership of the claim through to completion.

Each individual claim managed will have a dedicated claims handler and a project manager if the claim requires a fulfillment service to be provided. The solution has proven to deliver reduced claims costs through less subcontracting of building repairs and an enhanced customer experience.

Coordination

A HRNL large loss surveyor is appointed on more complex claims. The surveyor will coordinate their site visit with any required restoration/third party contractor to clarify and comprehensively control any work other than urgent make safe/mitigate work.

Camera

Floor plans

For multi-room damage claims, the HRNL surveyor will generate a 2D/3D digital floor plan of the layout of the property. This will allow other interested parties involved in the claim to visualise the layout of the room and the location/extent of the damage.

Comprehensive

A voice file is also captured by the surveyor to accompany the digital images collected, giving context and clarification on any observations made. Digital images showing damage information, along with any applicable commentary/notes can be added to rooms/walls within the 2D/3D floorplan to aid any other subsequently appointed restoration or repair contractor or other supplier.
