We aim to provide a hassle-free service when faced with dealing with damage to your home.
If your insurance company uses the services of Home Repair Network Limited you can expect and rely on a professional service that will help you through the insurance claim process that can sometimes appear to be a daunting experience when faced alone.
The right person for the job
Once your claim has been referred to Home Repair Network by your insurer, a member of our customer service team will get in touch to review the claim details and gather any additional information about your property and the damage involved.
Based on the circumstances of your claim, we’ll assign the most appropriate professional to inspect and report on the damage. For example, if the issue relates to roof damage, we’ll appoint a qualified local roofing contractor to carry out an assessment and provide a detailed report.
HRNL appoints experienced local tradespeople based on the type of damage reported. For example, a roofing claim would be assigned to a qualified roofer, a garage door claim to a professional installer, and more complex cases involving multiple trades would be handled by an experienced building surveyor.
Excess Payment
Many property insurance policies now include an excess, which must be paid by the customer before any repair work can begin. HRNL facilitates secure payment of the excess via debit or credit card through our electronic payment portal. Payment of the applicable excess is required before our approved repair contractor can commence work.
Once your claim has been accepted, we aim to progress repairs to your property as quickly as possible. In most cases, the appointed contractor can schedule and carry out the repairs upon receipt of the excess payment. If specific materials are unavailable, the contractor will agree a suitable start date with you, again following confirmation of excess payment to HRNL.
Workmanship Guarantee
All approved insurance repair work carried out by a contractor appointed by Home Repair Network Limited is backed by a 12-month workmanship guarantee, along with any applicable manufacturer warranties. For example, Hormann garage doors include a 10-year product guarantee provided by the manufacturer.
Claim Assessment
The HRNL technical team will look at the information collected by the HRNL building contractor and will contact you to discuss your claim in more detail.
Claims that are declined
In the event that the claim has not been accepted under the terms of your insurance policy, if you wish HRNL can arrange for our building contractor to provide you with a no obligation estimate to undertake the necessary repairs to your property.
Survey Data Collection
The appointed building contractor will inspect the damage and gather the necessary information to produce a detailed damage report. This report is then reviewed by a member of the HRNL team to determine whether the claim is valid under the terms and conditions of your insurance policy.
Vetted Tradesmen
All HRNL-appointed building contractors and inspectors carry official photographic identification, which they will present upon arrival at your property. This ensures you can confidently verify their identity before allowing access. Our team is committed to maintaining a professional, courteous approach at all times during their visit.
Flexible appointments
HRNL aims to offer flexible appointment times to ensure the property inspection takes place at a time that is convenient for you. In most cases, we strive to arrange the contractor’s visit within 48 hours of receiving your claim. Exceptions may apply in more rural areas or during periods of high demand following extreme weather events.
